Times they are-a-changing, especially in regards to the look of Austin homes . It could be that the biggest difference since the 1970s is the amount of square footage. In 1973, the average home was 1,600 square feet, a new home today has reached to 2,400. Bathrooms have moved from less than two per home, to at least two.
Kitchens have had an increase also, now at an enormous 285 square feet, up from a humble 9x10. Islands, breakfast bars, and nooks are a few of the additions to a lot of kitchens. An old-fashioned living room is a thing of the past. The flat screen TV is what families congregate around today. Many garages allow for more than two cars and an all-inclusive laundry room is a necessity. Children are probably not going to share a room as four bedrooms are becoming conventional. Austin real estate has changed procedures to generate electronic transactions. A paperless system promises to save money, speed up closings, and make buying or selling a piece of real estate a lot simpler . However, we have relied on paper for many years and changing to paperless isn't as clear cut as it appears.
One of the hardest aspects of employing an electronic system is making sure agreements are safe. Electronic signatures were made legal in 2000 but there is always the prospect of fraud. The change to paperless methods continues to spread as stronger laws make paperless transactions even more secure.
